To study “the effect of drought stress on Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) an experiment was conducted at the Botanical Garden of University of Ilorin kwara State. Tomato plants were grown in the screen house under drought condition. The parameter studied were plant height, leaf length, stem girth, leaf width and number of leaf. Drought stress has significant effect on all parameters studied. The relative water content of plant body declined during drought due to less water availability. In controlled environment, the parameter studied was far better than that of the drought stressed plant. Due to less water, photosynthesis was negatively affected which resulted in less energy production and finally low growth. In controlled condition the relative growth rate was on an increase while that of drought stress plant was drastically decreased after exposure to drought condition. In all this variety is highly susceptible to drought conditions and penicillin spp. and A. fumigatus was found to be associated via culturing of infected drought stress leaf of tomatoes plant.
